Maxtor 3200 Driver Windows 10
I have had the Maxtor 3200 external hard drive for a long time now, unfortunately it doesn't appear to want to run on a computer that is now Windows 8, 8.1 or even 10. Does anyone have an idea how I can get it to run as I have stuff on it that I would like to access. There is nothing important in terms of data just stuff that I know I would like to dig up. It does get recognised by the computer but that is as far as it goes.
Any help?/tips? I have a Maxtor 3200 that DOES connect to Windows 7 and now it WILL connect to Windows 10! It previously did not let me access contents with Windows 10. I had been searching forums off and on for months and finally found something that works. I'm not even going to pretend like I know what I'm doing here, but that is besides the point since it now WORKS with Windows 10! Like many others, I could see the Maxtor 3200 listed, but it would not show up in File Explorer.

Here is what I did: 1) Downloaded Ricoh Media Driver v2.22.18.01 2) Restarted computer as suggested by the Ricoh download 3) Leaving the the Maxter 3200 plugged into the computer -- and as suggested in this forum -- I unplugged the power to the Maxtor 3200 and plugged back in until it showed up in the File Explorer (approximately four times) and VOILA! I can access 100 GB of Music, Movies, and who knows what else that has been saved since 2008. Can't say that one step is more important in this process than the other, this is just what I did and again, IT WORKED! This is one of many problems I have had with Windows 10 -- from Outlook, to Word, to Windows 10 not bringing things to the foreground, and plenty of other quirky stuff Microsoft Techs couldn't really fix.
