Asus Smart Gesture Driver Windows 10
After applying the November Update to Windows 10 on my ASUS PC, touchpad Smart Gesture was not in the System Tray. The touchpad tap to click feature was enabled, which I find annoying and hard to use properly.
If you have the problem that ASUS smart gesture cannot work in Windows 10, you can view this article to fix the ASUS laptop issue in Windows 10.
There is no option in Windows 10 Mouse and Touchpad Settings to turn off tap to click. That option is included in ASUS Smart Gesture. Smart Gesture was retained during the November Update, andĀ appeared in Control Panel, Programs and Features. However, there is a prerequisite to Smart Gesture - a download from ASUS called ATK Package.
ATK Package was notĀ retained during the November Update. To fix this problem I uninstalled Smart Gesture. Then I went to the ASUS Drivers site and downloaded and installed the ATK Package. I then reinstalled ASUS Smart Gesture, also available on the ASUS Drivers site. After a restart Smart Gesture appeared in the System Tray and I was happy to disable touch to click. I followed your instructions and it worked, with one exception.
Somehow my system had retained the 08/2015 version of the ASUS ATK package, so I had to uninstall it in addition to uninstalling the ASUS Smart Gesture driver. I then restarted my laptop, downloaded and installed the ASUS ATK package and the ASUS Smart Gesture driver from the ASUS download site, restarted my computer and VOILA!! There in the system tray was the Smart Gesture icon which I promptly disabled using fn/f9 keys.
